BBBF - Invitational - July

Friday 30 July - Sunday 1 August 2010 - Coulter (Nr Biggar)
Tickets: £10 per person for the weekend, which includes camping (tents) & Carvans by prior arrangement, subject to additional fee with proceeds going to Erskine- a Scottish charity, providing care for ex-servicemen and women. Entry by invitation only - no tickets available on the gate. The Bike and Balloon Festival is now a private event. Due to various issues, it was cancelled but now it’s back on! We’ll have the balloons and you’ll bring the bikes! We have a new site in the small village of Coulter - two miles south of Biggar on the A702.We have a new team in place helping to make this a fun weekend for all. The catering and alcohol is being provided by Stuart and his team at the Old Mill Inn in Coulter. We can promise you there won’t be a greasy burger in sight. Stuart’s got a full hog roast barbecue planned for the Saturday and lots more besides. MAD Scotland (that’s the Motorcycle Association for the Disabled www .madscotland .co.  uk)   is arranging the camping and entertainment. We’ve got plans for rideouts, some exclusive items for an auction and we’ll also be helping to provide the entertainment - watch out for DJ Evie! Last but by no means least - Graeme - the brains behind the event, will be taking to the skies with his fellow pilots from around the UK each morning and evening (subject to weather conditions). If you’ve never been up close and personal with these magnificent flying machines - you’re in for a real treat during this weekend. The campsite will centre around the village hall - real toilets, entertainment will be in here as well. There’s so much more to tell you but we don’t want to spoil the surpise. Sign up, send us your cash and then come along and help us have a  great weekend while raising money for a great cause!
Are dogs allowed on site?
Yes you can bring your dog(s) but they must be registered and as this site is near/on a working farm we’d ask you to keep your dog on a lead at al times. You must not leave the dog unattended in a tent/caravan or car. You must be willing to clean up after your pet - we’ll have a designated area for your dogs to go to the toilet close to the camping arena - poop
bags will be available so no excuses.
Can I bring a car instead of coming on the bike and will I have to pay for parking?Of course you can come in a car. MAD Scotland is an association that promotes freedom of mobility - we don’t discriminate about mode of transport you choose to use! There are no charges for cars - but please indicate on your registration form if you intend to bring one so we can factor this into the design of the site, as parking is limited.
Do you have a concession for children attending?
Children aged 15 and under will not be charged for attending the event. However please note that they must be accompanied by an adult within the village hall and will not be allowed access to the licensed area after 9pm. There will be a marquee within the campsite where you can go with your children.
Can I bring a caravan?
Yes of course you can, however we will charge an additional £5 for caravans and you must indicate on the form that you intend to bring yours. Please do not turn up on the day with a caravan unless you’ve agreed with us in advance.
Can I pay on the day?Sorry you must pay in advance - as this is a private event tickets cannot be sold on the gate.
I’m interested in bringing a stall to this event - is this possible and if so how much?
Absolutely - we’d love to have you come along to this event. Stallholders will be charged £10 per stall as a minimum do - nation and we’ll be asking you to commit to providing a percentage of your profits over the weekend to Erksine. Please contact Roy Harley on 0754 975 5699 for more information. Balloonist's please contact Graeme Houston on 01899 860334 or 07989 428536
