Three Acres And A Cow - A History Of Land Rights And Protest In Folk Song And Story - October

Three Acres And A Cow connects The Norman Conquest and Peasants' Revolt with modern day protest via the enclosures and foundation of the coop and union movements, bringing a compelling narrative to the radical people’s history of Britain through folk songs, stories and poems.

Part TED talk, part history lecture, part folk club sing-a-long, part poetry slam, part storytelling session… Come and share in these tales as they have been shared for generations.

Featuring critically acclaimed storyteller, poet and musician, Rachel Rose Reid

"Classy, compelling... Reid's a consummate performer and remains very much one to watch." The Independent

"A contemporary storyteller of immense skill and breathless conviction." The Times

and radical historian and folk singer Robin Grey:

“Grey is one of those wonderful talents that could recite the phone directory on record and you’d still be enthralled.” Another Form of Relief

The ticket price includes a pre-show meal cooked with locally sourced and grown ingredients. There will be a bar available serving the best organic ale and other refreshments.
