Morphology III - The Dream Life of Ancient Egypt

Join Luciana Haill and Sarah Janes of Morphology on a guided adventure into the dream worlds of Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt.
Luciana will be focusing on the pineal gland and its role in the brain - the ultradian cycles and the regulation of Melatonin.
This will be a very unique evening exploring the nocturnal culture and altered states attained by the people of these profound and enduring civilizations. We'll be learning about the gods that presided over the dreamworld, the traditional dream incubation practices and some of the interpretations as can be found in the world earliest written record of dream interpretation - 'The Dream Book'.
A truly fascinating journey which we hope you will continue in your dreams. You'll be given a specific task for your oneironautic expedition into the wilds of your mind.
We are delighted to be back at The Beacon - a gorgeous, comfortable and friendly family run arts centre surrounded by lovely gardens on the West Hill of Hastings. Check out their website for directions
We don't sell alcohol at our events but guests are invited to try some memory supplements and brain energizing health snacks - there will also be a warming Egyptian stew available to buy if you are hungry.
Please bring whatever you will need to sleep comfortably, as we will have a guided meditation and you may sleep for up to 45 mins/ 1 hour. Warm clothes, pillow, sleeping bag and yoga mat advised.
